What about it? It's the first website I've created. In the past, I only did collaborations where I was in charge of graphic design.
For my personal website, I wanted to see if I was able to build one that was fully function on my own. I had enough experience to achieve it, but I didn't know much about client side codes. So I started learning everything I needed and finally, with the help of many people, I could build the whole website.

» why that name?

It comes from this great man on the picture. Robert Capa, one of the greatest photographer of the past century. The only man who covered the allied landing on Omaha Beach with his camera. I adopted the name of his autobiography 'Slightly Out Of Focus' to be the title of my portfolio and to show respect and pay homage to a great person who made his mark in history. I will write a short biography about Capa and his achievements in the near future.

Deciding on a name for your website is perhaps the most difficult of tasks when you're creating a space online. Things like layout and content can be changed, updated, and refined to fit the message and theme of your site. The name of your site must be one you can feel confident about, as if it could stand the test of time. Slightlyoutoffocus.com took me almost a year to decide upon. It was registered in December 2004.

This is v1 of slightlyoutoffocus.com. Originally, the idea was to create a layout reminiscent of an old abandoned urban area. Though I was forced to quit working on the design during the school year, in January I was able to get back to it. It has come a long way since August of 2004 when all I had was sketch on a piece of paper and mind full of ideas.

Several people have assisted me in realizing this project. My principle sources of inspiration were Pekka Siiriäinen and 24-7media. And thank you to everyone else to helped make slightlyoutoffocus.com possible.

Sports: snowboarding when I find the time and when there's snow outside... swimming, I like being in the water.
Photography: I feel the urge to create and through this medium I try to express myself and share it with others.
I like: good food, good wine and good beer... sleeping, snowstorms, lightnings (actually, when Mother Nature goes wild), music and my girlfriend (I love you MPi! whee!)
I don't like: oh so many things... (shh!)
Others: People say I'm often absent-minded. Let's say it might be true... sometimes.
